About Us
Sportees got its start in Canada’s Yukon over 20 years ago with a line of custom
clothing tailored to fit the active lifestyles of outdoor and fitness
enthusiasts.
Worn worldwide
Today people are sporting our brand name all over the world, while engaged in
every kind of recreational pursuit you can imagine. From the quality of our
fabrics to our meticulous workmanship, Sportees garments are designed for
comfort and built to last. Sportees combines performance fabrics with high
quality construction – without the high price.
Yukon cold
Our Yukon roots give us an intimate familiarity with cool weather conditions
and winter sports. Skiing, skating, dog mushing, winter running, skijoring – we
enjoy them all and know how to bundle up to stay warm. But it’s not all about
winter. You’ll find people wearing their Sportees all four seasons of the year.
Canoeing and kayaking. Hiking and cycling. Running and rock climbing. Hunting
and fishing.
Indoors
You’ll find us indoors too, from the fitness gym to the dance recital.
Plus Sportees active wear can double as rugged work wear or everyday active
wear for ‘casual Friday’ at the office, running the kids to soccer practice or
just sporting around town.
Teams
We love helping you make your team look their best. We’ve made
clothing for the Fulda Tire Company's media contingent in the Yukon Quest, wind
suits for the Canadian Orienteering Team at the 1999 World Championships, vests
and hats for the Yukon Ski Team, and kitted out numerous teams at the Arctic
Winter Games 2002.
Community
It’s vital to us that we support our local community. We have had a
team in every Kluane to Chilkat Bike Relay, we support all dance schools in
Whitehorse, and donate to countless community organizations, including Ski
Loppets, Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous, Whitehorse Cross County Ski Club and
Women’s Soccer.
